
On December 15th, the “World Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce Development Forum and Inauguration Ceremony for New Term” hosted by the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Beijing was held at the Beijing Hotel. Nearly a thousand people, including government leaders, foreign diplomats in China, experts, scholars, presidents of Wenzhou chambers of commerce worldwide, presidents of non – local chambers of commerce in Beijing, and members of the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, gathered to discuss development strategies.

The theme of this conference is “Building Global Ties for a Shared Destiny: The Right Time to Set Sail Together”, highlighting globalization, forward – looking vision, and a sense of innovation.

Hu Xingrong, who was re – elected as the president of the 5th Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, mentioned in his inauguration speech that countless Wenzhou merchants have been working hard around the world, weaving a network of friendship connecting the world and Wenzhou, and have become an important force in promoting economic and social development. He stated that he will lead the new leadership team of the chamber of commerce, with a more open mind, more innovative thinking, and more solid services, to unite the vast number of members, closely connect Wenzhou chambers of commerce globally, build a cross – border resource – sharing platform, safeguard the overseas interests of Chinese enterprises, and bravely stand at the forefront of the global business tide with the demeanor of Wenzhou merchants.

In terms of international cooperation, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya signed strategic cooperation agreements on – site with the Dove Group and the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Beijing. James Kimonyo, the Ambassador of Rwanda to China, Hamis Mussa Omar, the Ambassador of Tanzania to China, and Sinisa Berjan, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China, respectively made national presentations, extending warm invitations to Chinese entrepreneurs, which provided a broader stage for Wenzhou merchants to expand on the international arena.
At the event site, the presidents of 40 Wenzhou chambers of commerce from home and abroad jointly released the “Beijing Declaration of the World Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce”: “Wenzhou merchants around the world share the same origin. We respect the business principles, support each other, and seek common prosperity. Building global ties for a shared destiny: The right time to set sail together!”
